Is Merle really dead?

I think Merle is dead.

Maybe.

But, where's the blood? All that was left on the roof was a hand, the handcuff....and no blood. Not one drop.

Did the zombies carry him off?

Was there a heavy rain that swept away what was left of the blood? (I don't see any drainage pipes on that roof)

Did he somehow saw off his hand and then make some kind of run for it, with his wrist tourniqueted?

I think I'm leaning toward #3. If he isn't dead, you can bet he's going to kill those guys when he gets them
