Please move the story along please !!!

After making people wait a year to see what happens, they give us a soap opera drama with non stop character studies. I don't care about the characters, lets see some zombies and some shooting please !!
If the story moved along any slower it would need an IV drip of its own. Also thank you producers or whoever
for making the characters easy to dislike. If you keep this up and make people wait another year at the end of this season, don't bother coming back because people will not watch it.

The Talking Dead

i find that the Talking Dead is so moronic and scattered... That lack of a direction by the host is frustrating to say the least.. they have these comics to "lighten" the mood and I just find it insulting and cheep... there are so many quality topics that could be answered or adressed... I am not even sure as to why they have created this "live"show if they are just going to go over the obvious... I am of the opinion that if you are to have a show like this it should be more thought out and on topic

Love the Show! I want to rant on Lorie for a moment.
She does not deserve a man like Rick. Let me tell you why:
1. She waits a whole 2 weeks after the presumed death of her husband to get it on with his best friend. Wanton S*ut!
2. She’s horrible under pressure. After Carl is shot, Lorie freaks out and starts spewing nonsense about Carl being better off dead. Moron!
3. Either an attention seeker or hedging her bets. She pushes Shane away at the CDC, but gets mad at him when he tries to sever his ties with her and Carl. Every episode she is throwing an improper longing glance in Shane’s direction. Just to tease him? String him along in case Rick gets killed? Opportunistic Tramp!
Would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Bad broadcast quality on Time Warner NYC

Has anyone else noticed how bad the image is on the first run HD broadcast of The Walking Dead on TWCNYC? If you watch the same episode on the OD channel the picture is some much better it's like watching a different show.

situational morality

I'm really bothered by the number of people (including Gale Anne Hurd and Felicia Day on the "Talking Dead" aftershow) who find Shane shooting Otis to be acceptable on the grounds of "survival" or the "world has changed" etc. If you go along with this notion, there are a few things you should consider...

I think Sophia is dead based on game's depiction of survivors...

They no longer show Sophia or her mother as a survivor...so it's suggesting they're no longer part of the equation. I got Andrea in the game, and with my luck, she's the next to die xD Thoughts?

What could be next for Shane and his skinheaded plans?

Now that Shane's personal madness is unraveling before our eyes and as members of the group and now the farm group looking at him skepticly upon his return with the medical supplies .

Maggie seems to be forming an opinion of Shane, she may start asking questions about him or overhear something. Don't forget Dale said "I know what kind of man you are" directly to him so I can't help but think that Shane can't bear to stay around them much longer:

He can't have Lori now that Rick is back, he can't be the groups leader (Dale caught him aiming at Rick), he forced himself on Lori (funny how those scratches didn't stay visible for long huh?!) and people are finding out his dirty secrets due to his outburts (Andrea overhearing him and Lori at the church).

I think Andrea is going to make the mistake of possibly leaving with him if he leaves the group, this will backfire and Dale will either freak out on her and Shane in front of others or confide in Rick about Shane to argue why he wants go after Andrea or try to talk her out of leaving with Shane.

If Otis appears as a zombie and the Greene's see gunshot wounds Dale wont have any problems with having allies against Shane if Rick refuses to help.
(yes it's unlikely that much would be left of Otis, but this show tends to have those types of senerios)
I just can't see the writers ignoring those moments of Shane aiming at Rick & Dale reacting, his scratch from Lori, Andrea overhearing at the church and not bringing them back up. I'm not banking on any of this happening but it might end up close to what is to come while at Hershel's farm.

Just bought the first two graphic novels, the guy that sold them to me said if i loved the show i would love them more or my money back. He was sooo right, they are awesome i must say, the story and some different characters are alot different than the show but similar with alot of main plot points. So, i love the show and love the comics and they are different enough that i get double the epic zombietastic craziness.... Recommend highly.... Dear: everyone B*TCHING about the show----

I'd like to say a few things- because as a GINORMOUS fan of the show, I come to these different pages (especially the fb) to see what other fans have to say & discuss things with them, and I have to sift through the ridiculous mindless nonsense some people have to say.... And the ignorance of some who comment/write on these pages is almost immeasurable!!
The first thing I'm SOOOO sick of seeing are the idiots who keep complaining about the show as a whole. I see things about "less dialogue/emotion, more action/carnage" and such. You’ve GOT to be kidding me!!! This is extremely irritating. The emotion, relationships, feelings, drama & all around "human nature" within the characters & story is a good percentage of what puts this show well above all the other horse s*it on television! If you prefer wasting your time watching poorly produced/directed, horribly written, terribly acted crap with no story line that’s nothing more than a bunch of "fireworks" action & gore to cover up what its missing everywhere else, than this sure isn’t for you. Most of the junk on TV anymore isn’t worth a damn and it’s sad that they’re what are available. Not to mention, this is the first series of its kind, and they honestly couldn’t have done it better! The mix of compelling drama, clinching storyline, special effects & awesome zombie-ness is a match made in horror hell! also, people complaining about the season already. COME ON- really?? The first season only had 6 episodes (which weren’t enough) but we’ve only started the second season..... You can’t possibly judge things already. I’m quite happy with everything so far. Then there are the people who overly dissect every scene. THIS IS A TV SHOW ABOUTZOMBIES... remember?? So, the realism is done well enough I think, considering the human race hasn’t actually dealt with such a thing. Ever.
I am EXTREMELY HAPPY the special effects, involved story line, suspense, drama, and feelings of what ISNT happening to them, it’s what COULD happen to them, it’s just amazing. Everything works perfectly together & it’s all what makes this the incredible masterpiece that it is. Not to mention the way EACH & EVERY character does an amazing job drawing you to feel for them as an individual as well as part of the group...I’ve never VERE in my life been as into a show before. I’m now a super fan :)

Things I didn't understand in both seasons

There are four main things I've never understood, hope you can explain it to me:

First: What happened to Morgan and Duane ?
Second: What about the helicopter Rick saw in Atlanta ?
Third: Will Merle ever come back ?
Fourth: On S2E2, why didn't Shane turn on one of the cars's alarm, just like Glenn did during season 1, instead of doing what he did (it was way more risky) ?

Max Brooks should be the only person on each talking dead. He wrote books on zombies, helped the history channel on numerous zombie studies. He is the king of zombies. I love the walking dead and their take on zombies. But Max should be kept in on talking dead if not more with his experience with zombies. He is not just an other writer. Max has studied zombies from other cultures and is the best person to talk about how zombies act. I want to hear his ideas on the zombie horde we have recently seen and what his thoughts are on the various speeds of zombies we have seen.

It's painfully obvious this show is not nearly the same without him. The deviation from season 1 to 2 is just astounding. the fact that the bigwigs at AMC cant see the drop in quality is even more astounding. Time to swallow your pride and get Darabont back before the show loses every bit of it's season 1 glory.

Realism Concerns Contd.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Walking Dead and I’ve read some of the previous realism posts but I have my own concerns. Undoubtedly, someone will just say, “It’s just a show, and only entertainment… let it go.” I agree, BUT one of the most attractive reasons for watching this show for me when it began WAS the realism. A normal group of people stuck in an extraordinary situation is powerful food for the imagination.
Without even getting into issues which would impact long term sustainability:
Issue 1. The RV: this has been beat to death. Nobody that’s depending on a reliable vehicle to live would keep that junker. I think we all agree.
Issue 2. Guns: Clearly shown as a priority to the group members, but neglected each time they run past an overrun military outpost. A Colt Python is (was) a great duty weapon for a police officer and is highly reliable, but come on! Post apocalyptic zombies traveling in “herds” require a bit more firepower than revolvers and hunting rifles. Time to toss out the crappy weapons and pick up some M4’s and high cap pistols. P.S. Silencers would allow you to shoot walkers without alerting others.
Issue 3. The remaining vehicles: I don’t know about you, but in zombie infested post-apocalyptic world, I’d feel much safer in an armored humvee than a mid-sized SUV (or motorcycle). Take another look, they’ve passed the humvees before, why wouldn’t they become a priority? (other than gas mileage – Spare me, there are such things as jerrycans). As a side note: humvees in active duty aren’t strangers to medical supplies, weapons and food (MRE’s). A police officer like Rick would know that.
Issue 4. The cars blocking the road… didn’t have guns in them? Any of them, really? When people started eating other people, you’re telling me nobody thought to bring their guns with them while evacuating?

PS: Rick can probably change his clothes now.

FIRE! FIRE! Where's the FIRE?

Just think for a few moments about how often you hear a fire destroyed some buildilng?? You hear about it every day in the news. The walker firemen or women must be a lot better that ours! Don't forget what a great weapon fire was for ALL CIVILIZATIONS, until the last years of the 20th Century. Fire's would be everywhere caused by lightning. Lanterns and candles, cooking and heating, sterno Cans and matches, Lighters, and Lighters, and Lighters, and Lighters (been in a 7/11 lately. OH yea SMOKING!!! where are the fires and who is putting them out!

I dont have a prediction, but a hope. Daryl is becoming accustomed to the group, saving T-dog, searching for the girl ect. Hes still a badass, but it seems like hes finally into the group. Did you see the scene in the first episode's look ahead, it had Darly beat to hell in the arms of rick and shane.If I wrote it this, Daryl would come upon Merl(sp). Merl would want to hurt the group, and maybe, just maybe Daryl says no.. Merl then beats Dary; to a pulp b4 someone saves him. Maybe?

Predictions

Carol will die saving her daughter. Secondly, there's something not quite right about that doctor. He seems so confident a cure will be found, he seems somehow removed from the sadness of the loss of his wife. He seems to treat this like any other plague. Wouldn't surprise me if his wife and stepson are chained up in the barn "waiting for the cure to come". Prediction Andrea is gonna hook up with Alex (crossbow guy). Prediction, Carl dies but is revived and is different somehow than before. People die and become walkers, what happens if you die and are revived by medical means? I think the docs daughter will end up leaving with Rick and the rest of them.

How much time has gone by since the infection

Im trying to figure out how much time has gone by since the infection. The blood of the baby from the car did not look nearly as old as the corpse in the car? Any thoughts...

Disappointed so far.

I was really looking forward to Season 2 of TWD. But I have to be honest, I am really disappointed. After two episodes the show seems to be pretty aimless and half-heartedly written by people that would rather be writing a conventional drama than a post-apocalyptic genre series..

What I love about the post apocalyptic genre is being put in that "what would you do" situation. So, a big part of it is watching how otherwise normal people act in a situation of total societal collapse. World War Z, to me, is the best example of writing in this genre. It doesn't attempt to explain every single facet of the zombie world, but provides a variety of vignettes that give the reader an interesting cross section of characters and how they transform due to their horrific circumstances.

My frustration with TWD so far can be boiled into:

1) Ineptitude of the characters
In a horrific situation these people would become expert scavengers, would have developed tactics and plans for different types of situations, and would drop all their pre-zombie drama in favor of survival. Instead they roll around in rusted vehicles with scarce weapons and are constantly getting caught flat-footed.

2) Low-budget
Seems like AMC is seriously scrimping on budget for this show. Lot's of drawn out tight filler shots and endless talking instead of actual walking dead.

3) Melodrama
Rick is constantly feeling guilty for this or that. Shane wants to bolt, Andrea wants to off herself....blah blah. I think if I were being constantly threatened by undead trying to eat me, all of my pre-zombie drama would vanish.

4) Where are the zombies?
I'm starting to forget what tis show is about until every once in awhile they throw in a "walker" to remind you. But otherwise this could be Lost or any other half-baked supernatural drama.

Well, I'll just wait until Brad Pitt wraps the movie version WWZ and hope that I can get my zombie fix then. Sigh.

why not use a silencer ?

if the walkers can hear you when you shoot a gun , why not use a silencer on the gun ? at least one of the characters should have one on their gun.

I just read that Frank Darabont was fired from The Walking Dead! Is this true?

If so... The show will take a wrong turn next season or sooner.

Why both children

I realize it's a horror series but why do they have to show a young boy screaming in pain from a gun shot. This happens right after a young girl goes missing. They are the only children in this series and season two starts with them suffering the most.

You could see her roots in the first season more, and it just makes sense that a girl doesn't really have time for (nor probably worry about) dyeing her hair. The Farmhouse

Hey did anyone else think the farmhouse in tonight's episode looked a lot like the farmhouse in Savini-Romero's 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead? I thought it would be an awesome nod to the zombie movie classic if it was the same farmhouse from that movie.

Dale saved her essentially and she treats him like crap. I get what she said in the premiere, I do, but she's treating him like he's the one that started this apocalypse. I hope she pulls her head out of her butt and realizes she has someone who cares for her like family.

In some zombie movies people have been seen having sex with a zombie. If they do that would they become a zombie? Because of the fluid transfer even if there is no bite it would make sense that it is a possibility. Does it not

i have also been wondering what happens to what they eat..... and i dont think one could swallow a ground hogs skull though..(i know I know its TV).....and my biggest thing is why were there dead people in the cars at the road block..??? if they were stuck in the cars when zombies hit the zombies would have busted out the windows to get them we saw that last season at the store...so they wouldnt have just died in the vechicles.....and as far as looking for things they could use in the vechicles....there was a truck full of camping supplies...they really need that kind of stuff!!!!...

Building a better Zombie

One of the primary problems in TWD is the zombies are too easy to kill. They’re slow, mindless, are easily drawn to noise/light, and can apparently be killed by any sort of hit to the brain. Considering these weaknesses, it is highly improbable that the US Military could not defeat millions of zombies without much difficulty. What we need is a better zombie.

Let’s say this starts with a parasite that can produce electricity through biochemical processes. Once it enters the bloodstream, it takes up residence in the brain stem, cerebellum, and motor cortex areas of the brain. This gives the parasite control over voluntary movement of the body. While the host is still alive, the parasite triggers hormones/chemical processes in the body to produce the following effects:

1. Increase calcium to the skull, substantially increasing its density, thickness and strength
2. Lubricate and disinfect nerve pathways and muscles, keeping them limber despite lack of blood
3. Increase muscle mass/density, especially in the upper body and mastoid muscles
4. Thickening and strengthening the fingernails
5. Shut down respiration, circulation, and digestion
6. Visual, olfactory, and hearing senses are preserved
7. Higher intelligence processes are carried out by “queen” units, which can guide and direct minion units

Advantages of this design:

1. The body becomes a strictly electrical system. The flesh can rot, but the key components will retain mobility and function.
2. The only way to kill a zombie like this would be a brain stem shot with a weapon powerful enough to penetrate the enhanced skull. It could lose large portions of the body and brain and continue to function.
3. It would be a far more efficient killing machine. It wouldn’t need to eat or be distracted by noise/light.
4. With the aid of “queen” units, greater flexibility would be present in tactics and overall strategy.

Such a zombie would be extremely difficult to take down, as a brain stem shot on a moving armored target would be a challenge for all but the most experienced marksmen. These zombies could still move slowly for the terror effect, as this disadvantage would be offset by the intelligence provided by the queen. When advancing on a military position, these zombies could be carrying large pieces of stone or steel in front of their faces and be well-neigh invincible. You could slow them down by shooting off their limbs, but you’d be hard pressed to stop them completely.

The challenge to the survivors would be to figure out a way to avoid them, as direct confrontation would not go well. Ideally the zombies would have some kind of exploitable weakness, though this wouldn’t be revealed right away.

Possible Season 2 Plots?

Ok, we have several shows behind us setting the framework... where do the writers take it from here? Does the 'group' wander from city to city looking for other survivors and dealing with conflict? Does the group look for the source / cause of the Apocalypse and / or a possible cure for the infected? There are any number of places the writers could take us… but what makes the most sense? Given the group structure, experience, and abilities what would they most likely do?

Some rather gaping plot holes...

1) How did Rick survive for weeks/months on end? Those IV bags are changed out daily. Sometimes multiple times a day. He would have died of dehydration within a few days.

2) The military CANNOT be gone. There is no way that the most powerful military on earth is wiped out by a bunch of mindless zombies. Granted, there would be casualties....

But

A single squad of marines would EASILY take out hundreds if not thousands of zombies.

1 Tank could run over THOUSANDS of zombies.

1 .50 cal inside every tank (coaxial machine gun) would take out 10-15 zombies (probably more, since they're decayed and rotten and stuff) with one shot. Granted, these aren't "Kills" because it wouldn't be a headshot. The .50 cal would jsut blow them apart.

I am aware that this fact, albeit a stupid one, is a plot device. I mean, the story would be a lot less interesting if the Military contained the infection within a few days. (Which is what would have happened).

2. a.) Perhaps the military isn't gone at all. I haven't seen ANY zombies in Military attire (apart from the one in the tank). Perhaps the military abandoned the Atlanta area and is somewhere else?

However this logical notion is scrapped by the CDC losing contact with all the stations around the globe... Poor writing.

3.) This is the Deep South. There should be guns EVERYWHERE. I mean, come on. Two whole episodes devoted for the retrieval of a bag of shotguns? That's just asinine.

3. a) And if the characters were so obsessed with gun retrieval, why didn't they pick up one of the HUNDRED of AUTOMATIC ASSAULT WEAPONS outside the CDC? Or the SAW on top of the tank? Or the .50cal machine gun inside the tank?

You'd think the team would be foaming at the mouth because of the arsenal that they stumbled on.. But.. No. They ignored them. There's no excuse for BAD WRITING.

4) The notion that this is a world-wide infection is just stupid, and comes across as bad writing if you just think about it for 2 minutes. Unless there is some malicious 3rd party at work, the disease couldn't have gone world wide if the only way to spread it is "Om-nomming". Unless they let zombies in through customs?....

5) What ever happened to Red-Neck-Crossbow-Man's brother, Stumpy? They seemed to forget about him rather quickly...

6) How are there corpses lying around? Wouldn't the only lifeless corpse be one with holes in its head? In episode 1 of the second season, there are bodies that aren't zombies. This isn't necessarily a plot hole, but maybe some are immune to becoming a zombie? (Not immune to the deathly fever, just the zombification)

7.) How can we not know what it (the infection) is? If the "French got closest to solving it" how does that not reveal what the disease is? The first logical step in deciphering the cure is finding out what kind of infection it is. If the french "Got Closest to the cure" they would have figured out what it was. Just poor writing, guys.

I'm sure there are more. But my fingers are tired, and I don't' feel like writing anymore.

An interresting question?

When zombies eat and digest the food where does the waste products go? Is it just all absorbed or is it released from the body like the living humans ? Input please.

Okay, so the show is moving at an obviously slower pace than can be accomodated for when it comes to the child actors on the show....so my question is, will these kid characters succumb to the same type of fate as Walt from LOST? Remember how that actor hit puberty and grew like a thousand inches over a summer break? Walt went bye bye. Is that going to happen to Sophia (who's already missing) and Carl (who just got shot) too? I mean, I'd hate to see the show have to jump forward a year or two in time to accomodate for the growth.

Just saw the ad on AMC for the premier epi tonight 10 EST w/story notes. Help or hinder the viewing?

How about smartening these people up? People in Georgia can't all be this stupid. 10 things to help these dumbasses survive.
1. Start by going to Camping World of Atlanta and trading that busted up RV for something fancy that gets better gas milage and can tow a racing trailer.
2. Get a racing trailer to haul all your stuff in.
3. Ditch the 1970s gass guzzlers and get a couple of new 4WD vehicles and a couple of off road bikes.
4.Fresh Water = gold Go to Alhambra and get a truck full or at least fill up your racing trailer with jugs of water.
5.Fuel, go get a small fuel truck and fill it up.
6. Heritage propane in Atlanta, it's in the book.
7. Boss Hoss Motorcycles and Trikes also in the book and women can ride now too, not just hard-ass rednecks.
8. Firearms Georgia Tactical Inc. for Law Enforcement and Military only. These guys gotta have sniper scopes and supressors for their automatic rifles.
9.Power generators. You could put a few in your racing trailer, use them when you can or trade them.
10.Use the yellow pages. All of these places someone in the group should know about and they're all in the yellow pages.

What do you think is the origin of the zombie plague?

These zombies are clearly supernatural in nature so the cause must be paranormal. They clearly aren't your standard government or terrorist biological warfare type zombies. These things really are dead, and still function with major bodily decay. There's a chance of some advanced alien bio-warfare but if that was the case then where are the alien forces claiming their new planet? I doubt AMC would delve into direct magical explanations so perhaps a government archeological team unearthed a unique tomb containing an ancient preserved zombie, and released the plague into a modern world ignorant of ancient wisdom lost to the ages.

Firearms and Fuel

I love the show, but every time I watch it when they are popping off rounds and making all that noise I wonder why they don't try to get/make a suppressor. I'm sure one of them could make one, and if not they could try to find one. A suppressed weapon would be the most valuable commodity they could have. With fuel they should have drank/distributed the 5gal jugs of water and filled them with fuel, or at least fill the one that smart guy shane wasted by pooring all over himself. I know it's just a show, but I'm very familiar with trying to survive in harsh conditions where everyone is trying to kill you. Maybe that's the problem, anyway, The Walking Dead is still the best show on TV.

I just got home from work and I turn on the television and I'm thrown into LWN (Live Well Network), and these shallow vapid women are talking about makeup tips to make their too close eyes look further apart or making their too small eyes look larger,and all I could think of was I don't think a zombie would care what you looked like, MEAT IS MEAT. I know this is a pointless rant, but please tell me chicks are truely not that useless, maybe that's why I fell in love with Andrea because if the show follows the comic, she becomes a true BAD A$$.

Look, we get it, he's a bad a**.....but it makes no sense that he is tearing around in a chopper that is louder than the other two vehicles put together. If noise draws em in, why hasn't anyone told him to ditch the helicopter on wheels???

Realism issue

I would want to have a vehicle that is newer and very common like a 2000-2005 full size SUV. A Expedition or Suburban maybe. Dale knows the RV and how to fix it so I understand why they are keeping that but the mid 80's wagoneer I don't get. Its unreliable and parts are difficult to find. IF it breaks down how do you fix it? The show is fantastic!

Some questions for Zombie experts

First, how did the dead people in the cars die, and how come they didn't become zombies? Also, have they ever explained how the zombie plague started? How did the interstate into Atlanta just come to a standstill, and the inbound lanes empty?

Not good scavengers

Someone please tell me why these folks are terrible at scavenging? First, surely they can scrounge a better vehicle than that stupid RV. Second, why do they not attempt to scavenge anything off any of the dead soldiers or abandoned military vehicles? Surely they could find guns, ammo, explosives, and MREs on them. Some times I just wanna scream when I see them walking by valuable resources.

Finally, a replacement for 'Lost'?

I was obsessed with 'Lost' as I'm sure many others were. Since the show ended, I have been looking for that action/adventure/myserty show to fill the void and so many have tried and failed. After watching season 1 of TWD, I felt the same level of suspense and character development as I did before. Great cliffhangers, comedy, dialogue, story, and design elements. It's just a cleanly shot show with no frills and feels very real. I'm a believer in TWD and am happy to say it's my new weekly ritual like 'Lost' used to be.

Characters in a nutshell.

Andrea - damn, would somebody please put their boot in that blonde's ass and kick her to the curb already? What a self-absorbed bitch.

Lori - only has 2 emotions, either wide-eyed terror or pissed off at the men because they're doing something other than what she thinks they should.

Shane - frustrated alpha male. He wants to be in charge, but deep down he knows Rick is better at it, and resents it. Handy with a gun.

Dale - things are going just a little too fast for him, most of the time. He means well, but doesn't always grasp the big picture. Should have left Andrea at the CDC to die.

Glenn - you tend to forget about him, then he'll pop up with a good idea. Voted most likely to die while performing a heroic act that saves everyone else.

Daryl - peckerwood redneck, real short fuse. Kinda like a reciprocating saw, he's the tool to use when you need to get something done quick and dirty.

Rick - he's just a guy out of his element, trying to do the right thing but never 100% sure what it is.

Carol - snivels a lot. Pretty much useless.

T-Dog - knows his best chance of survival is staying with the group, and does his best to help out.

Boy, I sure wish they'd find a radiator hose that would last more than half an episode. With all the military hardware around, I'd sure be picking up and using that.

Weather question--can zombies survive in winter?

Great show. Has anyone wondered what happens when the weather turns cold? I mean, wouldn't our characters stand a better chance of survival by heading for a colder climate? Say Canda or Minnesota. Surely, the harsh winter cold would kill almost all zombies. Don't our characters need to only survive unitl winter?

A couple questions.

Did Lori ever tell Rick that her and Shane were getting it on when she thought he was dead? Unless I missed it, I think this is pretty dumb. Why would she never bring it up? And also why are they all driving piece of crap cars? You would think they would get better, more reliable cars since they can have any car they want.

Don't know if this was discussed but was the walker inside the RV supposed to be Jim? He was dressed similar. Also, during the attack when they cut from the heard walking to back inside the RV you can hear something say "Where are they all" or something to that effect.

The "Talking Dead" feature was very poor, and I don't remember who said it but one of them said the wouldn't go after Sophia because she wasn't "that pretty." That comment is disturbing and gross. Peace to all.

Too Many Commercials

There was over 30 minutes of Commercials in the 90 minute show. There was 8 min of comercials in the last 10 minutes. This will kill the show if they keep it up. I for one will not watch a show that has to use that many commercials to survive.

Needs better plots, varity and character guest stars

The walking dead is a great concept. However, the plots have become boring and frustrating. Each episode is the same old thing. The cast drives around unprepared, meets a few walkers and loses a few cast members. I am an actor and screenplay writer and I have an idea that would be absolutely outstanding. I could even write the screen play for you or at least give you a synopsis. You need more depth and variety of plot and story line. To the producers, if you are interested write me back. If anyone agrees with me then please add your comments to this topic

Commerical overload? Make your own DVR

All you need is Vista Ultimate or Home Premium (Win 7 as well) and USB TV adapter. It's about 50$ and you're good to go. Just Google how to make a DVR with Windows and you're good to go.

Way to many commercials

There was over 30 minutes of commercials in a 90 minute show. The last 10 minutes had 2 minutes of show and 8 min of ads.the last half hour had 4 minutes of show then 4 min of ads. this will kill the show for me

She does however, have a passion for something else that was already seen in earlier episodes. She is very much opposite from her husband’s role in values and integrity. This role should be given to an Actress who can portray much more of the human factor and grittiness in the setting of this fine show.

Walking Dead S2: You dropped an Atom Bomb!

I do not know what i think of season 2 of walking dead. The first episode was 63 minutes. Honestly, every time I thought it was getting good...Something really wrong happens! For a non fan of wd, I would not advise starting here!

Felt forced. There is a scene where the guys take a woman's gun away because they think she can't handle a gun? What? Then there is a scene where a little girl from the group gets chased by Walkers, then they leave her under a tree trunk? They then run off without her. Wow. This has ended up being the most sexist show on TV, and really, turned me off. Complete shutdown. Then lets talk about the main brother in the show. He gets maybe a few lines in, yet he was in the prior season. Do you think they can give him lets say, a story line? What does a brother have to do to have a main part in Walking Dead?

And, let us talk about a church. They walk in the church, and walkers are sitting in the pews? A digital bell is ringing on its own. Then the outlaw comes up to a statue of christ and says Taking any requests? What the? Dear Lord, just show us a sign? Then at the end this beautiful buck comes stops in front of the three guys. Then someone shoots the buck and our heroic kid. Honestly, a great kid actor. Of course, they kill him off in season 2. Great job writers! Nice way to promote our youth.

How could a zombie swallow an entire head of a woodchuck? They found the fully intact skull in the zombie's stomach when they gutted it. That zombie had a fully intact head/jaw/neck... it would be physically impossible for it to swallow the entire skull of a larger rodent type animal like a woodchuck... Also, in traditional zombie film history, zombies don't eat animals... just sayin' ;-)

I am Shane's Biggest fan!

I dont want to sound like a troll or a braggy douche, but I can say I am Shane's biggest fan, in both the show and comic ( I know he was only in it for a few issues). I have been following Walking Dead since issue 10, and have been following it ever since. The show is amazing and I am very happy with it and its decision to expand on Shane. I love Sahane so much, he is awesome, I know he is a dick, but I love that character. I am trying to say I the biggest WD fan out there just the biggest SHANE fan anywhere! And, I own a hat that looks just like Shane's from the comic. And dressed up like Shane from the comic for 2 halloweens. Thank you guys, and please know I am Shane's biggest fan!

Why is the walking dead so popular? i need feedback for an essay that i am writing in english

Walking Dead Theory Board

From piecing together all the clips I've seen, Season 2 ought to be interesting. Although the departure of Director Frank Darabont concerns me. We have 13 episodes which started filming in June of 2011, by late July they showed the trailor at comic con. After comic con, Frank Darabont was fired and there was still about a month left of filming. Then ironically we find out that 7 episodes will show before the network goes on hiatus and then returns with the last 6 episodes. I feel strongly that the first 7 episodes were prolly directed by Frank Darabont and then the last 6 episodes took awhile longer while different wrting and directing took place to fit "AMC's Budget". So yeah Season 2 should start off strong, but fans should be keeping an eye out for the last 6 episodes and pay attention on how the first 7 episdoes differ from the last 6 in comparison to Film Budgeting.

On a side note it would appear that Season will start off with Rick and the gang heading back to Atlanta to warn the people taking care of the elderly folks in the nursing home. Apparently they are all dead or zombies and Rick makes a choice to slay them all. Afterwards the group compacts their vehicles down to a Bike, an RV and one other vehicle. It seems they leave behind a Truck, a Van and the Jeep shane drives. It makes sense considering gas shortage. Anyways for some reason they take the Freeway, my guess is they are forced to. Obviously we all seen the Freeway scene and the little girl runs off into the woods. It appears all of them except Dale and T-Dogg go after her. Seems while searching for her they stumble across a church and some other buildings and find other zombies and do some slaying there as well. Now what I hear is that Carl does get shot sometime around this point or soon after and is shot by Hershal's handyman. Looks like only people in the house or Hershal, Maggie and his handyman and of course his 1 or 2 zombie sons in the barn tied up. I know there was a huge Hershal family in the comic book, but lets be honest it gets more expensive with more actors, but i could wrong. Anywho seems Shane is sent by Rick to get medical supplies from the town they lived in, my guess is Andrea joins him and somehow they unleash all those zombies in the hospital Rick saw behind the locked door. This could be where Morgan and Duane show up, but something tells me Duane is dead or dies( sorry to many kid actors aging quickly makes me think he dies) and Shane also dies or sacrifices himself to save Andrea or Morgan, who of course ends up returning the medical supplies. The last part is all speculation. But one thing is certain....there are 11 people in Rick's group and some of them will just have to die to fit in with budgeting and of course storyline. Take a look at who has the biggest character arc's and who is expendable. Biggest Arc's inclue: Rick, Andrea, Daryl, Glenn. Expendable: Carol, Sophia, T-dogg, In the Middle: Dale, Lori, Shane and Carl. I normally would say Carl lives, especially considering the comic books but kid actors hit puberty and it confuses the audience who thinks they should see a 12 year from last year and then BAM he looks like he's 15. My guess is though T-dogg and Carol die this season at least.

Make up malfunction

Morgan's wife, when she was at the door looking in the peep hole and Rick was looking back, did not appear to have the standard "glazed over"eyes. nor were they glazed when Morgan had her in his scope. Was this a make up glitch or was this a particular stage of "walkerism" once somebody has assumed room temperature???
