The Walking Dead Wins Satellite Award for Best Genre Series

Last night the International Press Academy announced the winners of the 2012 Satellite Awards, and The Walking Dead won for Best Televison Series, Genre. In addition, the AMC series was honored with the prestigious Special Achievement Award for Best Ensemble, Television.
The Walking Dead faced formidable competition for this year's Genre award, beating out FX's American Horror Story, ABC's Once Upon a Time, The CW's Arrow and The Supernatural, Fox's Fringe and NBC's Grimm.
The Walking Dead returns with all-new episodes Sun., Feb. 10 at 9/8c on AMC.
