This morning the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced their nominees for the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, and The Walking Dead was honored with three nominations in the categories of Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Visual Effects and Outstanding Sound Editing.

The nominations are part of 29 total picked up by AMC this year, with Mad Men receiving 19 nods including Best Drama, Best Actor (Jon Hamm) and Best Actress (Elisabeth Moss), The Killing receiving six honors in categories like Best Actress (Mireille Enos) and Best Supporting Actress (Michelle Forbes) and Rubicon getting a nomination for Outstanding Main Title Design.
