What's the Last Sci-Fi Movie You Watched?
When it comes to genre movie fans, Sci-Fi watchers are like junkies -- we'll watch pretty much anything as long as we get our fix. And Hollywood has certainly figured that much out about us, which is why J.J. Abrams is now working on the eleventh Star Trek film, and why for every epic like Star Wars, we get bombarded with drivel like Battlefield Earth (or for that matter, The Phantom Menace).
What's the last Sci-Fi you subjected yourself to, and what did you think?

The last SciFi movie I watched resulted from a short bout of insomnia the lead to "Damnation Alley" starring George Peppard, Jan-Michael Vincent, Dominique Sanda and Paul Winfield. If it isn't a cult classic it should be since it's one of the better movies of the post-apocalyptic genre.
I've never seen Damnation Alley, though after watching The Omega Man, I'm a bit leery of 70s apocalypse films. Does this follow in a similar vein?
I finally saw The Last Starfighter, which I assumed I would love. I assumed wrong. My biggest problem with it is that he's supposedly this uber-talented starfighter from playing this video game, so much so that they beam him up or whatever. But he's not even a pilot. He's a gunner! You're telling me in a galaxy far far away they've got all the Mavericks they need, but darn if they can't find any Geese?
Did anyone see Iron Man this weekend? I did, and I thought it was really excellent. AMC's review said it nicely, but I don't think I've ever seen a character from a comic book come more alive than Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark. What an incredible performance.
I have to say, the final showdown with Obadiah Stane was a bit much for me, because I always saw Stane as a corporate sit-behind-the-desk-and-wreak-havoc villain. That said, I haven't read a lot of the really old comics, so maybe it was different. But the best parts for me were really the origin aspects of the story -- watching Stark's transformation from a hilarious human being to a decent one.
That, and the secret ending that activated every nerd alarm in my body until I went into cardiac failure and had to be resuscitated.
The last SciFi movie I watched was "I AM LENGEND", which I found to be a fantastic movie, I mean Will Smith captured the inanity of being secluded with only a dog to talk to very well.
Although the movie was short, they could have done alot more with the movie, and they did kinda leave you wondering, but it was still a very good movie.
MovieGuru,
I just couldn't get over how much the movie diverged from the book, especially when it was set up to be so faithful to it. I couldn't help but think, What Happened? I would say that 3 strikes and you're out. Let's put to rest any further attempts to make this Matheson story.
The Incredible Hulk - It reminded me of the Godzilla movies- Total carnage downtown- Great Movie !!
