• The first clip from Heath Ledger's last movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, has popped up. Scuttlebutt says it's okay, but neither Ledger's nor director Terry Gilliam's best work.

• Nathan Fillon of Firefly fame gets a great mash-up video of him as the Green Lantern. Perhaps this will be the role that gets Fillion the recognition he deserves.

Terminator Salvation has many spin-off novels, and Geeks of Doom is happy to give you the low down on them. The prequel novel does actually sound interesting.

• A great round-up on io9: How did Isaac Asimov's robots get lethal in the face of the first law of robotics?

• Over 100 years of incredible War of the Worlds covers.

Jandrewedits does the most hysterical Star Trek: The Next Generation re-edits imaginable.
