Barbarella Rumor Patrol
In a previous Scanner post, John Brownlee expressed our collective fear about Rose McGowan starring in Robert Rodriguez’s Barbarella remake. (I was relieved because years ago I'd heard that Drew Barrymore was going to do it.)
Today Goldenfiddle.com noted that while no official casting has been announced, a British blogger casually mentioned that Diora Baird (pictured via Goldenfiddle), will play the titular Queen of the Galaxy.
I'm perpetuating the rumor by posting this, but I'm actually trying to nip it in the bud. (Oh the perils of our information age!)
How about an animated Barbarella? The movie, not just the character. Voiced by Mandy Moore.
Barbarella has to be sexual, so Jenna Jameson would be perfect for her first break into mainstream cinema. Marilyn Chambers did it with Cronenberg's Rabid. I know, I know no one saw that either.
