Over the long history of Star Wars toys, every squiggly alien, every background extra was eventually fleshed out into its own character worthy of a figure.

But even in the greedy hustle of capitalism, some figures never ended up getting made. Over at McMorran.org, there is a post detailing the (farcical) Star Wars toys that never got past the prototype phase.

They're all here: the Planet Alderaan figure, which is just a box of rocks. Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's smoldering corpses from the Moisture Farm Massacre. A dead Ewok! And, my favorite, an empty box, containing the ethereal essence of The Force.
