High Noon has been done as a sci-fi film before. 1981's Outland starring Sean Connery, for example, takes the plot of High Noon and shifts the action to a mine on Jupiter. But I adore this little remix of High Noon in which Gary Cooper faces not outlaw gunmen, but robotic cyborgs (a la Westworld). The dubbing's a tad atrocious, but the special effects are really well done. I like to imagine this taking place in the same space western universe as Firefly when I watch it.
