Why It's a Breakout Movie: While Wayne's World proved five years earlier that Meyers could be profitable at the box office, it was Austin Powers that truly cut the umbilical cord between SNL and the star. The movie was also something of a breakout role for model Elizabeth Hurley, who positively glowed as Myers' sidekick, Vanessa Kensington.
