John Belushi in National Lampoon's Animal House (1978)

The Classic Line: "Over? Did you say 'over'? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"
Why It's a Breakout Movie: If there was ever a doubt that Belushi was an artist, Animal House stomps them out. He personifies the no-holds-barred politically incorrect spirit of this rowdiest of college movies. He does not "play" college evergreen Bluto, he is Bluto, and debauchery onscreen was never the same again.
Other Notable Movies: The Blues Brothers (1980), Neighbors (1981), Continental Divide (1981)
