Bill Murray: A Career in Three Stages

Stage 1

Caddyshack (1980)
Fresh off his groundbreaking stint on Saturday Night Live and a breakout role in Meatballs, Murray set the tone for Stage 1 of his career as oddball Carl Spackler. Spackler is tasked with ridding Bushwick Country Club of a mischievous gopher and Murray is tasked with making his outrageous antics stand out in an all-star cast. Did he do the job? Two words: Baby Ruth. Mission accomplished.
