Apocalypse Now

The vision: The Vietnam War as a descent into madness.
The story: Deep in the jungle, the constraints of society fall away and we see how war reduces human nature to its most barbaric. Francis Ford Coppola once famously said of his masterpiece, "My film is not a movie; it's not about Vietnam. It is Vietnam."
