9. Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns (1992)
Catwoman inspires latex lust in everyone: People, bats, penguins, whoever. Plus, she makes being a mutant look like a delicious blast. A kitten with a whip, she’s badly behaved, but she’s also beautifully appointed, shiny and sleek, and so very lithe. Her transformation from mousy Selina Kyle presents freakishness as a kind of empowerment -- from submissive to dominant using only her covetable sewing skills, a near death experience, and a whole lot of unexpressed anger.
