The Apartment (1960)

The first stirrings of the sexual revolution are registered in this film. A very young Shirley MacLaine is the object of Jack Lemmon's sympathy (and then desire) when their insurance-company boss treats her like a plaything. One of the first movies to represent the changing sexual attitudes of the decade, it also depicts the wrong -- and the right way -- to conduct an office romance.
