The Occasion: The only happy moment ever experienced by Dr. Frankenstein's much-maligned monster is in this scene in which he stumbles into the secluded cabin of an old man who does not fear him because he cannot see him. Their friendship is sealed over a simple meal, though the peaceful moment doesn't last for long.
