O Brother Where Art Thou (2000)
Coen brothers fans, where wert thou? This Depression-era saga loosely based on Homer’s The Odyssey got none of the crazed adoration of Fargo or No Country for Old Men. Yet there's plenty to love here: George Clooney's turn as fast-talking conman with a secret; John Goodman's alternately funny and frightening performance as a one-eyed Bible salesman; and a T-Bone Burnett-produced soundtrack that rightfully won the Grammy for Album of the Year.
