As Good As It Gets (1997)
The Movie: Helen Hunt won an Academy Award for her turn as a waitress with an infuriating customer, a gay neighbor, and a chronically ill son.

After the Kiss: For some critics, this winter-summer romance seems implausible, but since the curmudgeon basically saves the kid's life, can you blame the mother for suddenly wanting to serve him breakfast in bed forever after?
