8. Grease (1978)

This Broadway hit turned blockbuster also stars Olivia Newton-John (fresh off "If You Love Me, Let Me Know") but it beats out Xanadu because this time, she plays off of John Travolta (fresh off Saturday Night Fever). It's a silly yet endearing story of a conflicted hood pining for a good girl and vice versa. So why did she have to "tramp up" when he got to keep his bad boy ways? Some things never change.
