The War: World War II.
The Men: A dozen convicted murderers are molded into a crack commando team (starring Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, and Jim Brown).
The Mission: Penetrate enemy lines and destroy a Nazi command post.
The Twist: The mission is so dangerous that few, if any, are expected to return. Survivors of the mission will be granted pardons for their crimes.
