Todd Ray, owner of the Venice Beach Freakshow, has long been a collector of Pitch Cards, which have been used since the 19th century to draw attention to the marvelous performers and human wonders in sideshows. They were often sold as mementos and included a photo of the performer undertaking amazing feats, plus a short bio. Rarities are highly collectible to this day.
