The Limits of Control (2009)
Even an actor with a long and winding career like Bill Murray can't win 'em all. Pairing up again with Jarmusch, Murray may be experiencing his first whiff of failure in Stage 3 of his career. This recent release has garnered decidedly mixed reviews and a disappointing (if predictable) box office take. Maybe this is what completes the transition from slapstick comedian to indie actor: The inability of an overcomplicated, weird movie to reach a large-scale audience.
