Broken Flowers (2005)
Having conquered the worlds of slapstick and ironic comedy, Murray seems to have felt his next step was to conquer the independent movie circuit. If so, he could have done a lot worse than re-teaming with director Jim Jarmusch (the two worked together on Coffee and Cigarettes). Broken Flowers even won the Grand Prix award at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. Put instant art-world cred next to his Oscar nomination in the achievements column for Stage 3.
