Rope (1948)

The Murderer: Inspired by their professor's (James Stewart) lectures on the art of murder, Brandon Shaw and Philip Morgan murder their classmate, and then throw a party while the body is still hidden in their apartment.
The Weapon: As the title implies, the mode of murder is strangulation, and the weapon is rope.
