Paul Newman Retrospective and/or Marathon

Did I miss it? Why hasn't AMC had a week long retrospective of his films or marathon? I was pleased to see the Clint marathon was on last night but even Clint would agree that he's still alive. Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to honor one of the greatest flim stars of the 20th century during the year of his death? Quite frankly I'm surprised that there hasn't been as much to do over his demise as I thought there would be. I certanly hope there is something in the works and it will be broadcast soon. If there already was a marathon and I missed it please repeat it. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would appreciate it. Paul deserves it.

"Shootout" that that would be the last episode on AMC.

My my called me yesterday to complain about not being able get close captioning on AMC. Not for any show let alone the movies. Does anyone out there know why they do not have that option ? She is hearing impaired. Would appreciate any knowledge of this.

Commercials

I was just watching Star Trek Nemesis and during the final 10 minutes and in the middle of a scene during dialogue AMC broke for commercials. When the film returned the movie was over and the next movie was starting. This is ridiculous. Commercial after commercial and not even completing the movie.

I remember when AMC ran movies uninterrupted and commercial free. I realize that commercials make money, but this has become so lame. Why not run 50 minutes of commercials and 10 minutes of movie, oh I'm sorry you are already doing that now. AMC has become so lame. I guess I deserve it for thinking I could tune in and see anything but endless commercials.
