Annoying Promotional Pop Ups
Those promotional little captions advertising other shows, e.g. Mad Men, which appear in the bottom left of the screen during movies are really annoying. Some stupid cartoon character promoting Mad Men appeared just at a dramatic visual during The Fly. It ruined the scene. Is tis garbage necessary? Do we really need this stuff on screen so long? Why doesn"t AMC stop doing this.

Hey Bob,
I couldn't agree with you more. Our society has fallen into a media frenzy. Everywhere you look these days the powers that be are advertising to us. Just today I tried my best to watch a couple of episodes I missed of Mad Men. Unfortunately I could not. You Tube supposedly says their episodes are free which they are. The problem is the videos are only a few minutes long. I clicked on a website that is linked to those videos. I also noticed it when searching for the Mad Men videos. I checked it out but couldn't even watch any of the videos unless I took one of two surveys. I never mind taking a survey if I have the time. And if its legit and not an ad. Sure enough they both were. They weren't even surveys they were commitments to either pay a monthly fee for ringtones which I can do without or to have a confirmation for a cruise sent to my email. This is ridiculous. Their should be some sort of way to make these companies websites more truthful or truthful at all. I doubt that will ever happen though. The website was called www.Watch-MadMen.com. I suggest that anyone reading this does not comply with their nonsense just to watch episodes of Mad Men that are supposedly free.
Anything that detracts from the movie irritates me!
Particularly the thousands of commercials...and
NOW this "life coach" who interrupts the movie
constantly. It's impossible to follow the story line.
No longer is AMC interested in showing a movie....
just selling products and other shows...too bad!
It used to be such a good channel!
