can't remember the name of this movie

could someone please help me figure out the name of this movie i saw years and years ago? i think it starred debbie reynolds or perhaps doris day...i'm not too sure if it's actually either one, but someone who kind of puts in the mind of them...the lady is engaged to get married and it seems that she lives with her grandparents. the grandfather is ill and close to dying; the doctors have him restricted to bed rest and the grandmother, granddaughter and house staff all keep taking cigars from him, which he has stashed all over his bedroom. the major theme of the movie is based upon advice the grandmother gives the granddaughter which is the premise that if you kiss a man a your toes curl and one foot automatically raises, then that is the man you should marry.

I think the woman kisses her fiance and nothing happens, when she kisses another gentleman who she met after being engaged, he was the one who made her toes curl and caused her foot to raise up.

i have searched everywhere and i cannot figure this one out.

need to know the name of this amc show

i am not sure of the year but a while ago amc used to have a show about a radio station in the 30s or 40s. iw was comedy/drama. and id like to know the name of it and if its on dvd. please help!!! thanks

What happened to DVD_TV (More Movie)?

AMC used to have a movie on Sunday night, once a month, where they would show the movie in widescreen and show trivia associated with the movie on the bottom of the screen. It was called "DVD TV" or "More Movie". I don't see it on the schedule anymore. What happened to it?

don't know the name of this movie!!!

I saw a movie a while ago which was abt a man and a woman who keep having chance run-ins. The last chance run-in he offers to walk the lady home. She then lies and points to an apt bldg and says she lives there and his reply is like: "you live in this bldg?" and of course she continues the lie by even going to an apt and sayin she lived in it. He plays along knowing that she is lying bcuz in actuality its his apt bldg and his exact apt she is claiming to live in. She even goes so far as to move in her clothes and pretend to live there as he comes by for "visits". The movie is in black and white and when I asked my co-worker he seemed to think it was a Loretta Young movie. I have searched every engine and cannot find it or anything close to it. Sum1 plz help me.

Can't remember name of this movie!

This is driving me nuts. There is a movie about a woman with children who lives near a navy base. Her son keeps getting on the military radio and they send someone out to investigate. It is a comedy. In the end, the son ends up floating on balloons across the city and she has to make the sos call herself. I think it is Doris Day or similar actress, from that era, but can't find it anywhere! I want my son to see it . . . it is a really cute comedy!
