Mad Men and Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston Win Big at the Primetime Emmys
Fans of AMC's Mad Men and Breaking Bad were likely pleased by Sunday night's 61st annual
Primetime Emmy Awards. It was a night filled with repeat wins: Mad
Men took the award for Outstanding Drama Series for the second
year in a row, and the show also won Outstanding Writing in a Drama
Series again -- an honor creator Matthew Weiner shared with Kater
Gordon. Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston too took the Outstanding Lead
Actor in a Drama Series trophy (another consecutive win).
Neil Patrick Harris proved to be a nimble host,
whether begging the audience not to touch the remote during an opening
musical number or joking about his loss to Two and Half Men's
Jon Cryer in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
category.

Great post.. Another controversial in entertainment is all about Travers,Mary Travers death came after a long battle with leukemia. She was 72 years old, and the music she made with Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey will live on.Their songs like “If I Had a Hammer” freely espoused a liberal sense of social justice. “Lemon Tree,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane” and “Puff, the Magic Dragon” are just a few of their award-winning hits. They helped bring Bob Dylan into America’s popular music consciousness and also opposed the war in Vietnam. In sum, the music of Peter, Paul and Mary gently informed the American mainstream that it was OK to question the way things were going in their country. For me, they have been a great comfort. That’s what Peter, Paul and Mary were all about, and Mary Travers’ voice stood for patriotism, authenticity and holding true to what you believe. A simple message with simple yet beautiful music can reach people of all ages, without the aid of payday installment loans to fund a glitzy ad campaign with 70-foot tall Hannah Montanas and Kanye Wests. Mary Travers and her goateed companions were honest. Their sense of justice rang like a freedom bell.Read more click http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2009/09/17/mary-travers-death/
Congrats to Matt Weiner and the cast and crew of the best show on TV hands down. Once again, we were robbed in the acting categories! It makes absolutely no sense. How can you win best show, but none of your great cast is awarded? What do you have to do to win? Start chewing up the desks and making your own Tanqueray in the conference room? But everybody looked marvelous, and you know what they say- it's the best revenge!
