Opening Night - Cameron Diaz Doesn't Want to Get Overly Sentimental With My Sister's Keeper

In New York last night I went to the premiere of My Sister's Keeper, the new Cameron Diaz movie directed by Nick Cassavetes. (The film is based on the New York Times bestseller; the book has been on the paperback list for 38 weeks now.) Whether Diaz intended or not, the movie and her participation in it brings attention to the issue of stem cell research, and a little-known procedure called pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. It's a process by which embryos are, according to USA Today, "selected for specific medical reasons, either to avoid a congenital problem or to be a tissue match for a sick sibling." At the premiere I talked to Diaz, Cassavetes, Abigail Breslin, Jason Patric and Sofia Vassilieva about that issue, and the movie, so take a look.
