The Newsdesk 06.03.09 - Hirsch to Be Hamlet; Bardem Strolls Down Wall Street
• Jack Nicholson will reteam with writer/director James L. Brooks for an untitled romantic comedy. Brooks gave us memorable Jack characters in Terms of Endearment and As Good as It Gets.
• Emile Hirsch has signed on to a new version of Hamlet to be directed by Twilight's Catherine Hardwicke. Produced by the team behind Milk, this Hamlet will be a suspense thriller. Spoiler alert! Everyone dies.
• Courtney Cox and David Arquette are in talks for Scream 4, from original screenwriter Kevin Williamson. Please tell me they're going to drop that Edward Munch mask. That hasn't been scary since about 1998.
• Javier Bardem will join Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf in Wall Street 2. The villain is reportedly hedge funds. But is greed still good?
• Posters for Avengers, Iron Man 2, Scott Pilgrim and more turned up at the licensing show in Las Vegas.

Watching movies is a great source of entertainment. Right now, Jill Sobule may not be making a lot of headlines, but she's been around for awhile. Jill Sobule has been an active songwriter since the late 80s, and had several hits in the 1990s with her songs "I Kissed a Girl" and "Supermodel". Her most recent album, California Years, needed some creative financing to record and release. She didn't use military payday loans, she petitioned her fans to donate money for it, meaning she got fans to pay to make the record and then buy it. Perhaps the album should have been titled Chutzpah. Jill Sobule will need credit repair with her fans if they don't like the new record.
Jill Sobule? I remember her! She must be pretty angry at Katy Perry these days. Tell me more, person who is definitely not a spammer.
