Trailer Pick of the Week - Drag Me to Hell
Few movies have been as eagerly anticipated as Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell. And happily, this two-minute preview of the director's return to horror doesn't disappoint. In it, a young loan officer (Alison Lohman) hoping for promotion refuses an old woman (Lorna Raver) an extension on her mortgage. That Raimi is tackling the economic crisis is intriguing; that he's doing so with a curse-wielding gypsy is even better. What follows is the signature gore that made the director famous and which keeps us loyal despite that aberration Spider-Man 3. Lohman is subjected to terrors (repeated sightings of shadowy hands reaching for her) before being pushed, pulled and yes, dragged. One nice twist to entice us further: A psychic advisor informs her she can give the curse away. Whom might we damn? Hmmm.
