AMC should play a marathon of olympics related movies this summer.

Those are all great movies. I though about this a bit, and would add "Downhill Racer" to that list (that and Miracle and Cool Runnings are technically winter olympics type movies, but what the heck, both are great).

There is an old (~1970) movie about the Olympic Marathon called "The Games" which I recall being good. I saw it over 20 years ago, so my memory had faided a bit, but would add that. Also, this would be a good time to dig out "Visions of Eight", which was a documentary done at the 1972 olympics. Another Olympic related movie was "Running Brave" about the life of Billy Mills and his victory in the 1964 Olympic 10,000 meter run. And I agree that "Without Limits" was much better than the other Steve Prefontaine movie that came out around the same time: "Prefontaine".

I am sure there are more, just have to think about it for awhile.

Are there any swimming Olympics movies out there? (I don't recall anyone ever doing anything about Mark Spitz).

I've never heard of any swimming olympics movies -- I guess there's not a lot of drama in laps, but you never know!

There is also a comedy about an olympic weight lifter (Played by Alex Karas) who falls for a Russian gymnast during the Munich olympics. It was called "The 500lb Jerk". I recall liking it when I saw it around 35years ago, not sure if I would still like it or not.

Does Johnny Knoxville's The Ringer count? Granted, it's the Special Olympics....
