For the fifth year in a row, AMC has garnered the most Emmy nominations of any basic cable network — with Mad Men and Breaking Bad both earning nods in multiple, major categories. In the Outstanding Dramatic Series race, a repeat win for Mad Men would be historic to say the least while Breaking Bad looks to take home the big award its first time in the running. Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston, whose won all three times he’s been nominated for Leading Actor, now is up for his fourth statuette but he’s facing off with Jon Hamm, himself nominated for the fifth time. For Best Actress in a drama, Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss is a major contender while the Supporting Actor nominees include Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul and Giancarlo Esposito plus Mad Men‘s Jared Harris. Even the Best Supporting Actress has rival nominees from AMC’s shows: Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) or Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad). Find out when the The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences holds its Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony this Sun., Sep. 23. In the meantime, click here for a complete list of AMC’s Emmy nominations.
