Two Cops Are Better Than One, Right? But Who Wins When the Bad Boys Collide With the Men in Black?

Considering the amount of crime that happens in the movies, let’s face it — sometimes one cop just isn’t going to cut it. Enter the dynamic duo, buddy cops, partners — whatever you want to call them. They’re mismatched but get the job done anyway. To give you a taste of the kind of feats a pair can pull off, take Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) in Men in Black: they use their contrasting styles to save a whole galaxy. Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Murtaugh (Danny Glover) are as likely to yell at each other as they are criminals, but they always come together in time to bring down their enemies. And occasionally a buddy-cop combo is so bombastic that it makes you stop to wonder what the police chief was thinking: can a duo like Will Smith and Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys) bicker, jam out to reggae, and bust a narcotics ring in Miami? You bet they came. So which of these crime-fighting teams — and five others — has the strength to survive a tag-team showdown? There’s only one way to find out.
