AMC HAS HIT A NEW LOW NOW!!!! Are you insane? Are you broke and can't afford to show any other movies?

Why in God's name have you decided to show Forest Gump at 7:00pm every night this week! My God, those of us who couldn't give a Rat's Tail about the Olympics, and it's being shown night after night, have nothing else to watch but the movies, since all the other networks have stupidly chosen to only show reruns of their popular shows. And AMC stupidly chose to repeat this movie over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. How many times do you think we need to see the same movie? How boring!!

And the TV networks and Cable channels are whining about not having enough viewership and they pull an asinine stunt like this. Go ahead guys and give us more reasons to dump you from our viewing choices!

This week I have had to give up watching TV because of the stupid Olympics!!

I've got TOO MUCH Gump!!! Please!

A week of Gump?! you have to be kidding!! While it is one of my favorite movies....ANY movie repeated endlessly is a serious channel turner! C'mon AMC! with the vast amount of movies out there you can afford some variety. I was hoping you would put up something more interesting than the Olympics... Guess not!

Dear Gump Lovers,

Please join me in celebrating the wonderful week of Gump with AMC! My husband and I are the original Gump Lovers! Our hobby is to visit Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurants. We love Forrest Gump because he consistently loved, forgave, and looked for the best in life. Our best Gumpin’ day was in December 2007. We planned to meet our children in Maui for Christmas, and had a layover at LAX. We rented a car, drove to Santa Monica Pier, and had lunch at the Santa Monica Bubba Gump! When we arrived in Maui, we had dinner at the Maui Bubba Gump! We made history that day! When we married, we had to make Gump a part of our wedding. Each guest received a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. rice crispy treat. It was cute and beautiful!

I feel sad for people who cannot feel the heartwarming peace that Gumpers experience. Gumpers know that God is on His throne and all is right with the world; even when things go wrong. We celebrate Gump by traveling to the multiple Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurants. We had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening of the Gump in Gatlinburg, TN! Our Gump-capades have taken us to the Chicago Navy Pier, Miami Beach, Daytona Beach, Charleston, Hollywood, CA, Denver, Breckenridge, New York – Times Square, Honolulu, Santa Monica and Maui in the same day, and Kona (Most people visit Kona for the volcano. We went to visit Bubba Gump. We promised to see the volcano on the next trip!) Our next Gump visit is planned for Orlando in June of this year! We have even done the Savannah, GA Gump tour. We sat in the park where the bench was and had lunch.

We are pleased and proud that AMC had the insight to play Forrest Gump this week. Thank you for reminding people to love!

Seems like the post from "Gump Lovers" has been written by the idiot at AMC programing that decided to run the same movie twice every night for a week. R U kidding???? I love this movie too, but come on, do you really watch this movie every night, twice WITH commerical interuptions.
BUY THE DVD and get a life other than living through a movie!
I'll bet you make a yearly visit to LA to visit the Steel Magnolias too.
Did AMC just want to see how aggrevated it's viewers could get? Well I guess now you know. Thank God for Books and DVDs.

People that downgrade having the show each night. ..Guess what change the channel. There is a reason why AMC selects to show the movie each night. Obviously your there are people out there that disagree with you otherwise AMC would have not shown the movie each night. Thank you.

They are just trying to show the fans that they also believe that it is a great movie. Some people would watch movies like Star Wars every night so why not Gump, after all, it is a cracking film!
