Trailer of the Week - Nine

The new trailer for Rob Marshall's movie musical Nine follows a familiar template: A hot starlet performs a flashy musical number. This time out, Kate Hudson's rendition of "Cinema Italiano" is featured, with Hudson's performance intercut with shots of Daniel Day Lewis living the high-life as a beloved Italian filmmaker. Other sexy stars are showcased, from Penelope Cruz to Fergie channeling Sophia Loren in black and white on a beach. Much like the movie's first trailer, the choreography is kinetic, the costumes lavish and the cleavage heaving. We don't get much in the way of plot details (except that Day Lewis' Guido Contini is the king of Italian cinema), but are you really complaining? Whether or not the movie holds up, this trailer is a feast for the eyes.
