Tribeca Film Festival 2009 - Spike Lee on Kobe: One Man, One Game, No Second Takes

There are lots of things I'm looking forward to at the Tribeca Film Festival, but talking to Spike Lee about Kobe: Doin' Work, his documentary about one Lakers game focusing only on Kobe Bryant with 30 cameras, was right near the top of my list. I got a screener of the film, which will air on ESPN May 16, and I watched it twice. I'm in a Los Angeles City Recreation and Parks Department basketball league, and I told Spike that I wanted all of my teammmates to watch the film because I felt like a better ball player after watching it... Cue the smack talk from my friends about my basketball skills.

During our time together, Spike and I talked about the making of the film, what basketball means to him, what inspired him to put this project together and what he's up to next.
