• Ricardo Montalbán (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Fantasy Island) passed away in Los Angeles yesterday, at the age of 88. Starring in everything from The Naked Gun to memorable car commercials, Montalbán had a lasting impact on popular culture.

• Despite only marginally improving in ratings after last year's stripped-down debacle, the Golden Globes are still coming under fire from the FCC for possible obscenity violations. Director Darren Aronofsky "flipping the bird" at his Wrestler star Mickey Rourke is the "incident" currently under review.
