Slumdog Millionaire and Kate Winslet Pick Up Multiple Statues at the Golden Globes

From a posthumous nod to Heath Ledger to Mickey Rourke's moving acceptance speech for his Wrestler win, last night's Golden Globes offered a bevy of memorable moments. Slumdog Millionaire's wins in multiple categories (including Best Motion Picture, Drama) have transformed the little movie into an Oscar favorite, while Sally Hawkins' surprise win for Happy-Go-Lucky could boost her awards season prospects as well. Kate Winslet was also one of the night's big winners, picking up Best Actress and Supporting Actress prizes in drama categories. (For more on Winslet's two performances click here.)
On the TV side, Mad Men nabbed the prize for the best drama for the second year in a row.

Best Actor - Drama: Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler)
Best Actress - Drama: Kate Winslet (Revolutionary Road)

Best Actress - Comedy or Musical: Sally Hawkins (Happy-Go-Lucky)
Best Supporting Actor - Drama: Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight)
Best Supporting Actress - Drama: Kate Winslet (The Reader)
Best Screenplay - Motion Picture: Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire)
Best Director - Motion Picture: Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire)
Best Foreign Language Film: Waltz With Bashir (Israel)
Best Animated Feature Film: WALL-E
Best Original Score - Motion Picture: A. R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire)
Best Original Song - Motion Picture: "The Wrestler" -- The Wrestler (Music and Lyrics by: Bruce Springsteen)
