Which Gladiator Deserves Immortality? Brad Pitt or Colin Farrell?
Sure they wear tunics and sandals. But don't let the wardrobe fool you. Be they sons of gods (Brad Pitt as Achilles) or fearless warriors in the field (Colin Farrell as Alexander the Great) these are the men who glory in the fight to the finish.
Watch Troy to see how one fighter does it. (For a full schedule of Troy, click here.) If you already know which fighter gets you cheering, click here.

neither would be the greatest gladiator because they were not gladiators, they were warriors. kirk douglas as sparticus was a gladiator. so was russell crow, slaves forced to fight for entertainment
neither....Gerard Butler in 300.....
Seriously, stop judgeing them so hard. They acted the best they could with the scripts they got. I would say that Colin Farrel would make the better gladiator and deserve immortality because he never once got selfish about fighting that day. Brad had a couple of hissy fits about fighting and was warned about losing his life from HIS MOM. You're always suppose to listen to your mom on things like your life. Colin wasn't warned about his sickness, he was just poisoned so he couldn't help it. That's why I think Colin Farrel deserved immortality.
I would say Kirk Douglas and Russell Crow were greatest gladiators too. Don't get me wrong Brad and Colin played great roles in them movies. But in a one on one match of semi-titans I would say Brad Pitt as Achilles. They were great as war movies but not so much gladiator films.
Russell Crowe is as believable a Spaniard here as Charlton Heston was a Mexican in "Touch of Evil." But director Ridley Scott took greater interest in entwining a Ginault ad with an empire's intrigue with its people's turmoil than emphasizing bread-and-circus brutality.
