The Talk forum this week was discussing the best war movies. Jumping off from last week's conversation about AMC's Saturday morning Westerns, Rick added, "I just love Westerns on Saturdays. But why doesn't AMC have a war movie day like maybe Sundays? Because I love war pictures too! Like Platoon, Force 10 From Navarone, Sands of Iwo Jima, Bataan." McGillicuddy weighed in with his favorite war pictures: "Starting with the Civil War we have Glory, an all-time classic. World War I, I loved All Quiet on the Western Front. WWII? Gotta go with Saving Private Ryan." Meanwhile, weparris wondered how he could buy the movie Hold Back the Night, a movie about Marines in the Korean war starring John Payne.
