Murder Mystery Tonight: Insomnia!

Insomnia Before you sit down tonight to watch the engaging Insomnia with Al Pacino, Robin Williams and Hilary Swank, here are a few facts you might like to know about the murder mystery that takes place above the Arctic Circle.

-The film was based on the 1997 Norwegian movie of the same name which marked the directorial debut of Erik Skjoldbjærg.
-In the script for the remake, Pacino's character is a nicer guy, someone who just might be able to be absolved of his sins.
-Harrison Ford almost took the role that Pacino plays.
-Jonathan Demme was up for the director's slot, which eventually went to Christopher Nolan.
-Robin Williams enjoyed working in Alaska because it was "avalanche season."
