What qualities might we look for in a Horror host? What exactly would you want to host, and most importantly, what makes you qualified?

Just out of curiosity...

Well I am the host with the most, rotting body parts that is. I am the one and only Undertaker from North Carolina currently servicing the greater Raleigh area with my own home grown show, Monster Creature Feature. But I feel much of America is missing out on my gift.

I think that horror hosts should:

A) be amusing
B) be informative
C) be creepy

Ormon seems to fit those criteria, but can he dance?

Yes, Ormon can dance. I know this from personal, and horrifying, experience.

Ormon would be great on the MonsterFest, Fear Friday bloc on AMC. Everyone has seen the movies a gajillion times (didn't Gajillion fight Mothra once?). But a host to inform and cajole would be fresh. And Ormon is fresh. Not in person, mind you. But on the tv screen.

C'mon AMC! Ormon Grimsby for AMC Horror Host!!

I would turn on every tv in my house and put them all on AMC.

Seriously though, I've only seen this guy a few times, but his production values were really good.

..a classic horror host for AMC is a wicked idea!! They most definately need one! I see him as this really creepy old guy in a library with an eerie edge and strange name. He knows his movies and gives sarcastic commentary, unknown facts and never before seen footage. He will become legendary with his haunting presence. And it wouldn't hurt to maybe have a sexy vampiress as a sidekick , or maybe it would lol.

Personally, I think a horror host segment for AMC Monsterfest is a great idea and long overdue. These classic films that most of us have seen a billion times need a fresh perspective with an engaging host who can offer new information, witty banter, etc. I took the time to check out Ormon and he looks pretty damn good! His clips are funny and his make up is outstanding. Love the eyes, man! I say AMC should give you a shot at it.

The votes are in and Ormon is the new official AMC Horror Host!!!!

Actually, it would be a great idea to have a horror host. And Ormon is both respectful of the old school, and innovative for the new folks who may not know anything about the old school.

It's an idea whose time has come!

Hey I'll host the show. lol I don't care who it is just as long as the person can give the creeps like Vincent Price used to. (which I think is almost impossible) But have you just find someone that might be able to do it.

Ormon Grimsby rocks. He has a lair and everything! Check him out online. AMC would add a lot of flair to their monster line-up with Ormon at the helm. He speaks to today's generation. Plus the generations that have passed on.

A think a “Horror Host” would be a fine idea, only if he or she or a team is neither hokey nor juvenile. One Svengoolie is enough. (WCIU TV Chicago)
Keep in mind not only pre-teens and teenager view “Horror Fest!” The majority of these movies shown on AMC are from the late 70’s to the 80’s, which makes a 40-50 crowd.
Teen-ager doesn’t have this market cornered!!
