Who's Your Favorite Vampiress?

This is a sad week for the undead as we learned of the death of Maila Nurmi (a.k.a. Vampira). Afterwards, we took a moment to give her a proper YouTube retrospective.

And then we realized the only way to properly honor Vampira would be to pay heed to her legacy, her successors, her sisters in bloodsucking. You've already decided which vampire movie is your favorite, now pick Dracula's Bride:

I don't think Kirsten Dunst has ever had a better role than as Claudia--truly terrifying when she slits Lestat's throat.

@LaDracul: Van Helsing? I think that one falls under the category of "movies that should never have been created," and proof-positive that Dr. Cox on "Scrubs" is right on in his distaste for Hugh Jackman...

Nevertheless, the real question is: where, OH WHERE, is Selene from Underworld?!? I mean, Kate Beckinsale in tight leather outfits for two hours! Plus she's a cool werewolf hunter who shoots guns, fights with swords, and generally kicks butt. Seriously, big miss on that one.

Speaking of Kate Beckinsale, she basically single handedly made Van Helsing extremely watchable for me. In the end, I really don't think Van Helsing was that bad - not very good but I thought it was watchable - and that was 80% Beckinsale.

Otherwise, given the present list, which is CLEARLY deficient, I have to agree with Clayton...Interview with a Vampire was Dunst at her best.

Now that you mention it, Wright Stuff, Beckinsale sucking blood in tight leather was an obvious oversight on my part. But even with her addition, I still think I would have to go with Dunst. Or perhaps Salma Hayek in From Dusk--before she turns all gross and scaly, that is.
