Doomsday Website

doomsday.jpg

This winter's flu bug must have director Neil Marshall doing handsprings. What better time to be promoting a movie about a deadly virus bursting out of quarantine than when the real-life Norovirus is infecting 200,000 people a week in the UK (and now in New York and other US cities as well)? By March, when Doomsday opens, we'll all be primed for infectious escapist fantasies.

In that case, you'll be glad to know that the Doomsday website has been launched, with photos, a making-of slideshow, and of course the trailer. Also, you can enter to win a trip to Chicago for Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors conference plus an opportunity to meet Neil Marshall yourself (though I shouldn't have mentioned this, since you're now going to shrink MY chances of winning). From the look of its Mad Max-esque characters and set pieces, Doomsday is going to be a lot of fun. In the meantime, invest in hand-sanitizer. It's going to be a long winter.

Well you have one less chance at least. I went to the Fango Con in Chicago a couple of years ago and had an absolute blast.

I met Stuart Gordon (we actually checked out of the hotel together on Sunday, not the way your thinking at all Blunt), Tom Savini, James Gunn, Tim Sullivan and so many more great actors, directors, comic book creators, and Tony Timpone himself. I had an absolute blast and maybe I'll actually win this and get to go again!

Not to mention this movie looks like it's going to rock and I love Marshall's previous films Dog Soldiers and The Descent!

Sounds like a blast. May the best man win...
