Godzilla made it far mine only because I voted late and the Wolfman was already defeated. But when it comes to the vote between King Kong and Godzilla you have to go with the King. He won the battle in the movie! Hollywood already decided that one for us!

It presented some very difficult choices. They were all monsters of the midway! In a way, I was rooting for Alien and Predator..........but...

this involved a lot of hard thinking, it was good though and had to get my homeboy to bounce logic from. Godzilla took the cake over the alien, which is a queen and is more powerful and smart then regular aliens. but yea, for his size, strength and breath, godzilla takes my cake and stomps on anyone else.

How does Frankenstein lose to that clown? He definitly wouldnt be afraid of him and would definitly rip out his heart, lungs, spine and anything else that got in his way!

OKAY...ENOUGH! Enough from the godzilla geekboys. He isn't that tough. He has weaknesses- he has been smakced down plenty of times..not to mention...he's kinda conspicuous. He draws the fire to him. Which in the end always gets his ass kicked.

Clearly some entrants were overlooked- but frankenstein...the puss is afraid of fire, kong? a few fighter planes took him out when he mooned over fay wray, aliens? Asses handed to them by the predators...not to mention plenty of humans.

I think Pinhead and Freddy Krueger are the toughest. Pinhead is from hell and Freddy Krueger is in your dreams so they really can't be killed.

this was a fun but kinda pointless poll....to get geeky about it, Godzilla is a force of nature and can never really be beaten or stopped....slowed down yes, but truly never stopped?...no.....fun and yet pointless polls like this are needed more and some of us horror fans need to get off our soapboxes and just enjoy the horror that we like....

The question is "Who's the TOUGHEST monster?", so clearly Godzilla (my choice) is the most apropos choice. He has taken the harshest beatings, the most severe attacks conceived of by Man, from tanks to aircraft to ray-guns; attacks from aliens and their advanced weaponry; attacks from other giant monsters and their weapons; even fought a mechanical version of himself and STILL he triumphed victoriously! This is one tough cookie! Hands down, the TOUGHEST monster of all time!

Godzilla wins! why do you ask? well I will put in my two cents why Godzilla is King of the Monsters. Godzilla was created by the H-bomb and is considered to be indestructible. He has his radioactive breathe/beam and not to mention he can regenerate his wounds within seconds. Also he stands at 50 to 100 meters tall, depending on the Godzilla film. Also he emits great strength and intelligence. Don't get me wrong but yes Godzilla has been defeated a few times and even killed but somehow he always keeps coming back for more.;) Godzilla is King of the Monsters.

We are talking the TOUGHEST monster here and just by that basis Godzilla has to win. I mean, come on, he's has the word GOD right in his name! I think his best battle was with Kong, but, in an ideal fanatasy world, King K wouldn't stand a chance.

I am surprised at the omission of Jason Vorhees and Michael Myers on this list. A combined total of 17 sequels* should more than qualify for this list. Personally, I would have had Vorhees right up there with 'zilla.

*Myers didn't appear in the third Halloween installation. In case my counting abilities were in question.

You can kill Godzilla hell he walks along some power lines and gets entangled in them and falls down... Freddy puts you through hell before he kills you.. Oh and you CAN'T truly kill him. He ALWAYS comes back... Take that big awkward Godzilla!!!

Godzilla could swollow all the others whole, except King Kong, who might give him a little trouble. That is pitting one monster against the other. If I were going to decide who would be tougher for me to kill, they all win except Chucky. I wouldn't get on the floor to let him kill me. ;)

The only one who could come close to killing Godzilla would be Freddy, and thats because he attacks in your dreams. Although as big as Godzilla is, he still has to sleep. But I still think he would find a way to destroy freddy. Afterall, he does have "atomic" powers.

Many years ago, I saw a movie which pitted King Kong against Godzilla. It was a long brutal fight but in the end King Kong triumphed. The reason of course is that it was an American made movie, there for the American made monster won.

Someone asked who would you wanna face, Godzilla or Chucky...Chucky: you pull of his arms and legs, what's he gonna do, kill you with sharp comments? Godzilla on the other hand..No chance, that's what ya got. Chucky is the easiest to defeat of the two. Truly, if you think about: if you stood in the street, and saw Godzilla on one end, and Chucky on the other, which direction would you run in?

Kong and Godzilla already fought! Pretty much a stalemate. But I think Kong is much more agile, and physically stronger than Godzilla. Godzilla can barely stand up when he falls over, with his baby T-rex arms! Kong is much more dynamic, he can climb, swim, grapple, and use weapons. If Godzilla didn't have his mega-breath he would be COMPLETELY wiped out!

Yeah, but Godzilla does have fire and that is what makes him great. Kong would have no chance against "The King of All Monsters." As for experience... Lets see... Godzilla has been destroying earth and alien creatures alike for over 50 years. Yeah, Kong is OK when faced with a giant anaconda or a regular T-rex... But Godzilla is no regular T-rex. LOL!

Godzilla has dealt with acidic weapons before, and though they may have caused him pain, it pissed him off more than anything else. Acid doesn't really do a hell of a lot against a critter that regenerates constantly... not to mention is like million times bigger than you.

What it boils down to is this: All the other competitors kill people, as in a handful of people... Godzilla annihilates entire cities.

What the heck is this? Godzilla wins. All the other guys were beaten by a small band of regular humans. King Kong required a bit more people, but King Kong lost to bullets, while Godzilla took a nuke level blast like it was nothing. Yes, Godzilla has a weakness, and that is the oxygen destroyer, which is something that no one knows how to invent. The only guy who knows how to build it is dead. Hell can't do anything to Godzilla. Why? Because hell was beaten by an army marines carrying tons of guns. (Namely, Doomguy from Doom 3.) Freddy Krueger can't do anything either, because even if Freddy enters Godzilla's dream if by some weird reason Godzilla fell asleep, the only thing Freddy has are blades on his glove, which won't do anything. All the other monsters can't do anything to Godzilla, because all their attacks can't blow up buildings. Godzilla wins, hands down.
