Oh, Baby! Real Life Werewolf
This week, I'm on this werewolf quest, and I want to know everything I can about the shape-shifting beast. In my search for eerie knowledge, I came across an oldish story from ABC News regarding a condition called hypertrichosis.
The story of the Gomez brothers is sad: they were kept like animals in a freak show as children. They then rose to fame with a circus. Still, they are the victims of prejudice even today. Yet Danny Ramos Gomez has the right attitude about his werewolf-like condition and the taunts he gets, saying, "I don't take it seriously. I know who I am inside." We could all learn a lot from that positive attitude.

Recall seeing the very episode. Wonder how the twins are now? Loved an American Werewolf in London and saw it several times after it came out. Loved the morphing/effects too.Flipping back over past days wondered if AMC happened to pay any tribute to the late Madeleine L'Engle author of A Wrinkle In Time, many other books and wonderful ghost stories. Disney made a movie of A Wrinkle In Time that was so-so. Curious if any have thoughts about L'Engle (think she passed away late last week following Labor Day). Additionally, did think of you AMC New Yorker's this day of 9-11. Blessings to you all and our U.S.A.
Is this the guy Tommy talks about in the new Halloween?
I believe that one of them has a girlfriend, though I saw them together a very long time ago...
Scientists, however, think of studying it as a cure for baldness...I'm actually wondering if they're oversensitive to Nair or anything like that...
interesting......it reminds of an older horror film called freaks (where they used real sideshow freaks, no make up what so ever). maybe someday these guys will do a werewolf movie or something.
Hypertrichosis,is a rare condition. But sadly it can be passed down to offspring.
Unfortuntely in our society anyone that is different is looked upon as a freak.
We have to remember that Werewolfs are a myth and not part of the real world. It was not Danny's choice to be born with this condition, and to see him as a human being who has been exploited by profiteering cruel people who saw him as a way to make money. Nila
