The Horror of Nicole Kidman
Another Nicole Kidman horror movie ... with ghosts ... like The Others? Variety is reporting that "Universal Pictures has acquired remake rights to the Colombian horror
film Al final del espectro, and will develop it as a starring and
producing vehicle for Nicole Kidman."
The deal? "Plan is for Kidman to play a woman who, after a tragedy, is encouraged by her father to take refuge in a fancy apartment building. She becomes a shut-in, and begins to see a ghost." This would be her second producer credit. The first? Jane Campion's In The Cut.
I think Nicole's one of the better actresses of our time. Yet I thought The Others was predictable, though watchable. Are you guys looking forward to this new Nicole horror movie? Has anybody seen Al final del espectro?

I haven't seen the original and I could find it anywhere. I agree that Nicole Kidman is one the best actress in our time. My favorite performance of her was actually in The Others. That's why I am so exited to wait this one.
Sounds great and think N.K. is a great actress as well. Heard something about Valerie Bertinelli starring in a new movie/show on Hallmark this weekend (maybe Saturday). Have no idea if it's a series or not. Think she's playing a psy"chic" widower helping solve murders or something. Do you or anyone at amcmfb have a scoop on it/know if it's any good?If not, that's okay too. Also, have you considered interviewing Frank Perretti? (Hint, hint.....)
Hello,
I know this is unrelated to this post, but I would love to know the music/score behind the ad for "Long Live Cool" on AMCtv this month of August...Its the score when various clips from great movies are shown in the ad...i would really really lvoe to know any info about the score itself...Many thanks for your help
I don't really care for any film that involves ghosts (except for Guillermo del Toro's The Devil's Backbone). The Others bored me, so I think that should answer the question about Kidman's next film.
Why does she do so many remakes? I AM excited for her next film, 'The Invasion' but that's because of Daniel Craig (though I don't hold high hopes for it--why do we need yet another version of that story?) and for 'The Golden Compass' again because of Craig and because I love those books. Personally, I think she's kind of overrated.
