I never thought The Creature from the Black Lagoon was all that scary -- until I watched this YouTube clip. As these stupid humans engage in intellectual discourse, the gross creature rises from the murky depths, gets his bearings on land and then attacks viciously. And, yeh, it's frightening. Especially to the old-ish dude, who surely must think conversation with the beauteous Julia Adams is sexy ... or like sex.

i have it in 3D on vhs tape, laser disc and several dvds. ( 1 is the legacy collections version. there is a scene where the crew is on the boat looking for the creature and in the background you see a telephone pole. the area, i believe, is silversprings, fl. it is one of my fave 50s movies. back in the day it scared the s... out of us.
