Terrifying Clip of the Week
I remember being pretty terrified by this "children's" film back in those long-ago elementary school days. The AV slave would thread it up, and we'd all sit transfixed and shuddering until it ended, and the slapping of the loose film against the projector sounded like a thousand raven's wings. Anyway, super scary...but literate!
Several sources list it as "banned" but I don't think good judgment in program selection is the same as official banishment. Anyhoo, it's melty message changed my life forever. Beware!

Yep! That gave me the creeps alright. Especially since Twain was born and raised just a few miles away in the next county. Never been into the Tom Sawyer caves, simply because spiders live in caves. And I hate spiders (shivers).
What are you talking about? I'm STILL terrified by this clip, no doubt due to the intense trauma I experienced viewing it as a child. Who knew Twain could be so scary?
Makes me want to run out and borrow The Mysterious Stranger from the library.
